The Pathways to Reunification Program
Helping Families Heal, Reconnect, and Grow Stronger
Pathways to Reunification is a strengths-based coaching and support program designed to help parents safely reunify with their children. Built on the proven Strengthening Families framework, we focus on enhancing caregiver protective capacities, building safety networks, and providing consistent, compassionate support through every stage of the dependency process.
What is Pathways to Reunification?
The Pathways to Reunification program helps parents involved in the child welfare system navigate the road to reunification with clarity, support, and dignity. Our evidence-informed model uses a capacity-building framework aligned with Florida’s Family Functioning Assessment (FFA) standards and the Strengthening Families Protective Factors. This is not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Our flexible model meets each parent where they are—offering weekly or biweekly support sessions virtually or in the community, adjusted based on their individual progress and needs.
Parents in our program work closely with a trained parent coach to:
- Build and demonstrate safety planning skills
- Strengthen behavioral, cognitive, and emotional protective capacities
- Increase insight into their child’s needs and perspectives
- Engage in peer support and community-based resources
- Prepare for case plan tasks, court hearings, and reunification readiness reviews

- Peer Support Models
